Rebecca Chalmers-Woods

Rebecca Chalmers-Woods

Rebecca has extensive experience as a therapist in the Cognitive Analytic field, having commenced her initial training at the Bethlem Royal Hospital (SLaM) in 2005. This was closely followed by completion of her advanced Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapy training in 2012.

Rebecca currently works as a Cognitive Analytic Therapist in a specialist eating disorder clinic in central London. She has over ten years of clinical NHS experience and has worked with clients with a wide spectrum of psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimic Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Eating Disorder Unspecified), sexual abuse and those struggling with life’s trials and tribulations. Rebecca has a specialist interest in grief.

She is an experienced therapist who offers a collaborative way of understanding patterns of relating and helping the individual to connect and make sense of their world.

Rebecca has worked in private practice for three years and is happy to accept referrals from clients who are self-funding.


Dr Harriet Heal

Harriet

Harriet is a very experienced clinical psychologist who specialises in Cognitive Analytic Therapy.  She gained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1996 and worked successfully for 15 years in the NHS in East Anglia, Hampshire and Kent.  She made the transition into private work in 2012 and sees clients at London Bridge.

Harriet has a wealth of experience in assessing and treating a wide range of problems, including depression, anxiety, work stress, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, self-harm, problems with emotional regulation, anger and adjustment to change.  She uses a variety of therapeutic models and techniques including CBT, but she specialises in Cognitive Analytic Therapy.  She also taught Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy groups in NHS settings for four years and she continues her interest in using mindfulness in work with individual clients.  She continues to work as a supervisor to other clinical psychologists and is an examiner for the regional clinical psychology training course at Canterbury Christchurch University.

Harriet is chartered by the British Psychological Society and registered with the HPC and ACAT.  She is recognised by all the major insurance providers: Axa, BUPA, Simply Health, Aviva, Cigna and also sees self-funding clients.

Harriet is married with two children and enjoys choral singing, gardening, running, and reading.  She also co-runs a successful beginners’ running group for women with mental health problems.

Julia Ivanova

Julia Ivanova

Julia successfully completed her Post-Graduate Diploma as an Integrative Psychotherapist at Regent’s College, London in January, 2010. This has been followed by extensive further study in the form of a Certificate in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling Psychology.

Although Julia initially trained in Integrative Psychotherapy, she has been working as a CAT Practitioner at the Munro Centre in Guy’s Hospital for the past four years. She does however incorporate her skills and knowledge from various psychotherapeutic disciplines including person centred, existential, psychodynamic and behavioural.

She has worked with a wide spectrum of mental health conditions including personality disorders, depressive and anxiety/panic illnesses, obsessive compulsive conditions, eating disorders as well as relationship difficulties. Julia sees clients with requirements for both short and long term therapy.

In addition to her NHS experience, Julia also successfully runs a private practice and is currently happy to take self-funding patients.

Julia is a qualified member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Elizabeth Jones, CPsychol.

Elizabeth Jones

Liz is an experienced Counselling Psychologist who commenced her initial training at Roehampton University. This was closely followed by completion of an MSc and Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology in 2006. In addition to her private work, Liz has six years of NHS experience, which has successfully culminated in the post of Senior Psychologist in Primary Care at London’s Maudsley and Guy’s Hospitals and Clinical Tutor at University College, London.

Liz practices within an integrative framework using Cognitive Behavioural, Psychodynamic and Humanistic approaches but is also trained in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy. She also has an interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness and attachment based theories.

She has worked with a wide spectrum of client problems including depression, stress, anxiety disorders (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, social and health anxiety), relationship issues, anger, bereavement, HIV, eating disorders and physical health conditions. Liz uses both short and long term models of therapy to address these issues and her key aim is to support clients to better understand and gently confront habitual responses to the challenges of life and foster well being.

Liz is recognised by the Health Professions Council and is chartered with the British Psychological Society. She is a recognised Psychologist with Bupa, AXA/PPP and Aviva (Registration with other providers is possible on request).

Theodora Kapsala

Theodora Kapsala

Dora is an exceptionally experienced psychotherapist who has worked in a professional capacity from 1986 and has undertaken extensive training in both Greece and the UK. She initially trained as a General and Psychiatric nurse and worked for a number of years in the community setting.

In conjunction with her nursing experience, Dora undertook training as a Psychotherapist and became recognised for her skills in Cognitive Analytic, Cognitive Behavioural and Family Psychodynamic Therapies. In addition, in 2012 she successfully completed a Masters in Integrative Arts Therapy and in 2014, a Diploma in Hypnotherapy. Dora brings an eclectic and integrative approach to the therapeutic process.

Dora joined the Munro Clinic at Guy’s Hospital in 2006 but has actually been working as a Psychotherapist in both the NHS and private practice for the past 10 years.

Dora is happy to see clients with a range of mental health conditions and has a specialist interest in depression, anxiety, eating disorders and borderline personality problems. She has proven success with clients experiencing long term mental health issues.

Dora is registered with HCPC (Health & Care Professions Council), UKCP (UK council for Psychotherapy), BAAT ( the British association of art therapists) and is able to see clients who are self-funding.


Ilaria Primoni, CPsychol.

Ilaria Primoni

Ilaria commenced her training as a Psychologist in 2000, when she completed her BSc (Honours) in Psychology. She then successfully undertook an MSc at the Metropolitan University and Post MSc in Counselling Psychology at the University of East London.

Ilaria has underpinned all of her qualifications with experience gained in the clinical setting. She was initially trained and worked in the Sex and Relationship Problem Clinic of Guy’s Hospital for ten years. Subsequently, Ilaria has been working at the Munro Clinic, Guy’s Hospital, using Cognitive Analytical Therapy (CBT) to treat such conditions as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and panic attacks. She has also been undertaking private practice for the past four years.

Ilaria also continues to work part time as a help line advisor and company secretary for the Sexual Advice Association.

Ilaria brings a wealth of experience to the company and is recognised by the Health Professions Council (HPC). She is also a certified Chartered Counselling Psychologist (BPS) and is registered with all of the major private medical insurance providers (Bupa, AXA PPP, PruHEALTH and Simply Health).

Gabriele Stabler.

Gabriele Stabler

Gabriele is a very senior Psychotherapist with extensive knowledge and experience in the field of psychological health. Initially training as a counsellor in Germany in the 1980’s, Gabriele then moved to England to pursue her psychotherapy career. She completed her mental health nursing qualification in 1995, which was closely followed by completion of a Masters in Integrative Psychotherapy in 1997 and Cognitive Analytic Training (CAT) in 2000.

In addition, Gabriele also qualified as a Hypnotherapist in 1997 and a Trainer and Supervisor in 2002. She is also proficient in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation & Reprocessing) following her studies in 2011.

Although Gabriele has significant experience as a Psychotherapist working with clients with drug, alcohol and relationship issues, her current expertise and interests are within the areas of life coaching, supervision, teaching and the provision of therapy for trainee psychotherapists. Gabriele is happy to provide any of these services on Skype.

Gabriele is currently able to take clients/trainee therapists who are self-funding and Bupa registered.

Dr Anthony MB BS, BSc Hons, MRCPsych.

Dr Nathan Anthony

Dr Anthony trained at Guys and St Thomas' Medical School, graduating in 1996. He then undertook his psychiatry training in London and has worked as a consultant in the NHS in community and in-patient settings.

With an aptitude for psychotherapy, he undertook further training in cognitive analytic therapy and eating disorders.

Dr Anthony is staff consultant for the Priory group and has outpatient clinics at Keats House, London bridge, Sloane Square and St Johns wood as well as Hayes Grove Priory near Bromley and Priory Hospital North London.

Dr Sara McCluskey, BSc Hons, MBBS, MRCPsych.

Dr Sara McCluskey

Dr Sara McCluskey is the Lead Consultant Psychiatrist for our company and the Lead Consultant for Eating Disorders at the Priory Hospital Hayes Grove. Her main clinical interests are Eating Disorders and Women's Mental health.

She graduated from St Georges Hospital where she completed her training in Psychiatry. She joined the Academic Department of Psychiatry as a Research Fellow, and then lecturer - her main area of research being the links between Polycystic Ovaries and Binge-Eating. She was appointed senior lecturer in Psychiatry at Newcastle University Medical School. Here she set up the Northern Regional Eating Disorders Service and worked as a community Psychiatrist.

She returned to work in London as an Independent Psychiatrist 17 years ago. Sara's interest and training in psychotherapy has informed her clinical practice throughout her career. She is particularly interested in women's mental Health and has a large outpatient private practice based at Keats House, St Thomas Street, London Bridge.

Leda Passali

Leda Passali

Leda is a Clinical Psychologist with a psychodynamic and person centred approach to therapy.  She completed her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology at the University Aix-Marseille 1 in France, in 2005, and finished her clinical training in Athens.

Since 2008, Leda has been working in private practice initially in Athens and now via Skype. 

Her experience ranges from working with patients suffering with depression, anxiety, severe mental health issues, addiction disorders and relationship problems.  Leda has many years of experience working in varied mental health settings.

She has also successfully taught parenting classes and has written several articles which are helpful to any parent.

Her first language is Greek, although she is fluent and can offer therapy in both French and English.  Leda is currently seeing self-funding patients via Skype.
